".....I am very impressed with this young woman. She would benefit any
opera company who engaged her. My realization of her extraordinary talent
came in our....production of Le nozze di Figaro, in which she sang the role
of Barbarina.
In 50 years of Figaro performances, I have never heard a more pellucid,
accurate, or tasteful delivery of the character's Fourth Act aria. I have
since engaged her to sing Papagena in The Magic Flute and Xenia in Boris
Godunov, and I have invited her to sing the Sandman/Dew Fairy in next
season's Hansel and Gretel."

The Seattle Times recently featured Terri Richter in an article
where she was named as one of Seattle's "Rising Stars." In 1997, Ms. Richter made her debut with Seattle Opera
as Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro and returned to sing the roles of Papagena in Magic Flute and most recently Xenia in Boris Godunov.
Ms. Richter was one of twelve singers to be chosen for Seattle Opera's first national Young Artist Program in 1998. She received critical acclaim and a scholarship award for her
portrayal of Despina in Cosi fan Tutte. She has been featured twice as a guest artist with Gerard Schwarz and the Seattle Symphony, most recently in concert versions of Peter Ibbetson and Die Fledermaus.
In October 2000, Terri gave her debut appearance as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Opera Idaho. In Seattle Opera's next season she will appear as the First Nymph in Rusalka and Oscar in The Masked Ball.
Ms. Richter is equally at home singing concert repertoire.
She made her debut at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony
and returned with the Northwest Chamber Orchestra to present Handel's L'allegro, il pensieroso, ed il moderato. She has been featured with Orchestra Seattle in the St. Matthew Passion, Cantata #51, Christmas Oratorio, Brockes Passion, B Minor Mass, and Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers. Other solo appearances include the Pacific Northwest Ballet, the Spokane Symphony, the Bellevue Philharmonic, the Northwest Sinfonietta, the Fort Collins Symphony , and most recently the Walla Walla Symphony.
Her upcoming concert season includes the St. John Passion, Haydn's Creation, and Merry Widow.
Ms. Richter is proud to present her first CD, "Someone to Watch Over Me," recorded recently with the Northwest Sinfonia.
